What is known about Sebekay

His name is mentioned only on a knife from Abydos. He is perhaps identical with Amenemhat VII or with one of the Sobekhoteps.

Many kings in quick succession weaken the realm. Immigrants from Western Asia, the Hyksos (‘rulers of foreign lands’), take power in the north, while a separate royal house rules in Thebes.
